Richard Ashworth Change UK – The Independent Group number 1 candidate in the forthcoming European elections, has underlined his commitment to maintain a strong voice inside the European Parliament for Hampshire; protecting jobs and inward investment from the European Union.
Richard Ashworth European Parliamentary candidate for Change UK The Independent Group said:
“This act of self-harm in the form of Brexit that has distracted our entire society from addressing the issues that affect people like rising levels of crime, education and the health service.”
Commenting on the important of retaining a voice for Hampshire inside the European Parliament Richard Ashworth said:
“It is absolutely essential that South East of England retain its voice inside the European Parliament. Businesses from the South East of England must have the Single Market open for their exports to survive.”
“I urge the people of the South East of England to go out and vote on May 23 and return candidates who want the United Kingdom to remain in the European Union.”

Richard Ashworth has represented the South East of England as a Conservative for over 14 years until he was expelled from the Conservative Party for voting against a technical vote in the European Parliament on progress on Brexit. Richard left the UK Conservatives and then went to site with the centre-right European People’s Party (EPP).
