SeaFrance the last French sea operating business on the Dover-Calais route should not receive a politically driven bailout by French President Nicolas Sarkozy in an attempt to boost his ailing career.  Commercial entities should not receive any support from EU member states, and if there is any suggestion that the French state will continue to support SeaFrance there should be an immediate complaint to the European Union competition authorities.
